JV Sweeps Ortonville-Brandon

Defense + Offense= Victories

The Dragons total team attack proves too much for a high quality Brandon team. The Creek defense behind the pitching of Ashlyn Beck's 2 hitter and AJ Brookman's 4 hit shut out sent the Hawks home packing. Brandon got on the board early in the first inning of game one with the only error of the night and the only run allowed all night as the Dragons took game one, 5-1 and game two, 7-0.
The Dragons offense was lead by the potent power hitting of Angie Simpson (two doubles), Ashley Bush (1 double coupled with 3 crushing line drive singles), and Savannah Doherty's steady 3 for 5 offensive prowess. Lauren Adas slap hitting (3 for 6) continues to baffle defenses while Katie O'brien (2 for 4) broke out of her 2 game hitting slump, Morgan McGaffigan also had a double. The Dragons are now 22-9 on the season and one game out of 1st place in the race for the JV Metro crown. The Dragons wrap up their Metro home season with a double header Monday against Lapeer East.
