Varsity Drops Pair to Dragons

The Dragons dropped a pair to the Dragons of Lake Orion Thursday night.  The first game was dominated by the Lake Orion Left-handed pitcher, who struck out 12, while only allowing 2 hits.  Michaela Krusina & Gabby Deering each had singles for Creek.  Ashylyn Beck pitched the first 4 innings and Allie Jo Brookman finished the last 2 allowing no runs in the 5-1 loss. Adilita Roiter scored the  only run for the Dragons after walking in the 6th inning.

In the night cap the Dragons got off to a fast start going up 2-0 on a lead-off single by Roiter and a monster 2 run home run by Hayley Cruthers. But a 5 run 2nd inning and 3 run 4th for Lake Orion sent them on their way to a 9-5 win to complete the sweep of the visiting ladies from Swartz Creek.

Michaela Krusina had 3 hits including 2 doubles and an RBI. Cruthers added 3 hits, scored 2 runs, and had 2 RBIs. Meagan Photiou had 2 hits including a double and scored 2 runs. Deering had another 2 hits and an RBI. And Erin Hescott also had a hit.  Brookman pitched the entire game for the Dragons.

The ladies travel (hopefully) to Bay City Western High School for a round robin tournament this Saturday playing at 10am, 2pm, & 4pm.
