Fenton Sweeps Varsity

The first game at Fenton was something to forget about for sure as the Dragons were mercied 18-3.  On the bright side Michaela Krusina hit her 6th home run on the season knocking in Gabby Deering who also had a hit.  Hayley Cruthers had an RBI single to score Lauren Adas who walked.  Those were the only hits of the game for Creek.

The nightcap was a lot more interesting and the Dragons had a chance to win the game, but unfortunately lost in the bottom of the 8th inning by a score of 6-5.  Allie Jo Brookman pitched a great game for the ladies, but a couple of errors cost her and the team the win. Creek was down 2-0 heading into the 5th inning when Cruthers smashed a 3-run homer, her 9th on the season, to take the lead 3-2.  They scored another run in the 5th on a hit by Deering and error by Fenton and added a run in the 6th on a hit by Ashley Bush and fielders choices and passed balls by Fenton. Fenton tied the game in the bottom of the 7th before winning it in the 8th dealing the ladies another tough defeat.

The Dragons Flint Metro League record ends at 7-9 and their overall record of 13-18.  They travel to Carman-Ainsworth on Thursday for their final regular season game.
