Carah Pletscher Commits to Oakland University
Swartz Creek High School Junior, Carah Pletscher, has accepted a scholarship offer and verbally committed to play softball for Oakland University in the fall of 2014. Pletscher decided on OU after considering several scholarship offers from schools throughout the midwest, including universities from WV, PA, OH, IN and MI.
Carah credits her family, coaches, and teammates for her success. Pletscher stated "I have been so lucky to be surrounded by good coaching and great teammates. My family is so supportive. My mom and sister spend a ton of hours sitting on a bucket in our polebarn catching for me. My dad has always been my biggest fan and he will drop anything he's doing to get in the car and drive me all over the place to play." On her decision to play for OU " I have always been in love with the campus. OU has a great academic reputation and I'm so excited about the future of the program under the leadership of Coach Miner."
