Dragons Split with #7 Lake Orion

It was a tale of two games tonight for the Dragons.  They traveled to Lake Orion to play the #7 ranked Lake Orion Dragons.  The first game was one of their best of the season, but the nightcap was not.

Swartz Creek 2  Lake Orion 1

Ella Sinclair led off the game with a single, but was out at 2nd on a fielder's choice play on a ball hit by Lauren Black.  Black would be out at 2nd on a fielder's choice on a ball hit by Kylee Pierce.  Pierce would be stranded.  Lake Orion was retired in order in the bottom of the 1st.

Creek was retired in order in the top of the 2nd.  Lake Orion had a base runner who reached on an error, but did not score either.  The Dragons got things going in the 3rd with a 1-out double by Allison Dusseau.  Sinclair singled moving Dusseau to 3rd, then stole 2nd.  Black ripped a double to score both of them.  The top of the inning ended with the Dragons up 2-0.  A single and triple put Lake Orion on the board in the bottom of the 3rd to cut the Dragons lead to 2-1.

The remainder of the game was all pitching and defense, but the Dragons held on to win the game 2-1.
